Hiring construction manager through TradeConnex

A construction manager sits above the site teams. They set the construction methodology and staging, manage the site managers, engineers and supervisors, and hold subcontractors to program, quality and safety. They’re often the first senior hire on a new project, brought on before mobilisation so the delivery plan is theirs.

Wollar Solar Farm shows how we support this. The project covers nearly 500 hectares in the Central Tablelands, with up to 280MWac of capacity and around 660,000 panels. Between September 2023 and September 2024 we placed more than 100 people for several contractors, from a construction manager, an electrical project manager, a program scheduler and a contract administrator through to engineers, HSE advisors, module installers, plant operators and labourers.

Construction manager roles are usually permanent, filled through our permanent recruitment service. For a single large project, we can engage one for the construction phase. We recruit for renewable energy, civil infrastructure, commercial and industrial construction.

Senior candidates are interviewed face to face and referenced with people who managed them or worked under them.
