Battery energy storage labour hire

Quality assurance personnel, supervisors, electricians and plant operators for grid-scale battery energy storage projects. At Liddell BESS in the Hunter, we placed 10 talent across QA, civil supervision and plant.

TradeConnex talent on a battery storage project

How we crew battery storage projects

A battery energy storage build fits a lot into a tight footprint: civil works and footings for the battery enclosures, cable trenching, a substation and high-voltage connection, then installation of the battery units themselves. Much of it happens inside an operating energy precinct, so QA records and supervision matter as much as labour numbers.

At Liddell BESS, on the former Liddell Power Station site in the Hunter, we placed 10 talent between August 2025 and February 2026. Most held white-collar roles: several Quality Assurance personnel and a Civil Supervisor, supported by forklift and excavator operators. Works covered substation construction, high-voltage connections and battery infrastructure installation.

We also supply electricians, riggers and dogmen and labourers to battery projects, with licences and tickets checked before anyone starts.

Everyone we put forward for construction work holds a White Card. We confirm role-specific tickets before they start, such as a High Risk Work Licence for forklift or dogging, or a current state electrical licence, and they complete the principal contractor’s site inductions.
