TradeConnex offers two services. Labour hire — we employ the workers and place them on your site on a flexible, project-based basis. You pay a single all-in hourly rate and we handle payroll, superannuation, workers comp and all compliance. Permanent recruitment — we source, screen and present candidates who join your business as direct employees. Best suited for senior, specialist or long-term hires where you're building your core team.
With labour hire, the workers stay on our books. We handle their pay, super, entitlements and all employment obligations — you manage their day-to-day on site. It's built for flexibility: scale your crew up for a major build, scale back when the phase ends. With permanent recruitment, we search, screen and present the right candidates, you hire them directly. One placement fee, no ongoing charges from us.
There's no fixed minimum. Engagements run from a single day through to multi-year infrastructure projects — the right arrangement depends on your site and timeline. Talk to your account manager and we'll structure it to suit your project.
For labour hire, you receive a single all-in hourly bill rate. That covers the worker's base wage, superannuation, workers compensation insurance, payroll tax and our service fee — one line on your invoice, no hidden costs. For permanent recruitment, we charge a placement fee based on the candidate's first-year salary, invoiced when the hire commences. Contact us for current rates.
Every candidate is verified for identity and right to work in Australia, and we confirm all required site tickets and trade licences — including white card, machinery licences and any specialist certifications. We check references from previous employers and complete a fit-for-site assessment before placement. For labour hire workers, we also manage all ongoing employment compliance: superannuation, workers comp, payroll tax and applicable Award or EBA obligations.
Yes. If a labour hire worker is the right fit and you'd like to bring them on permanently, we can arrange a direct hire conversion. It's a clean, transparent process — talk to your account manager about the terms. It's a common arrangement and we make the transition straightforward.
