A contract manager protects a project’s commercial position. They know the head contract and subcontracts inside out, issue and answer notices on time, and build the case for variations and extensions of time. Miss a time bar and a legitimate claim can be lost.
The forms and the scale matter. Someone who has administered Australian Standard contracts such as AS 4000 on building work may need time to adjust to a large civil or renewables contract, and the reverse is also true. We ask which contract forms you use, the project values and whether the role sits with the head contractor or a subcontractor.
We also fill contract administrator roles. On Wollar Solar Farm, a contract administrator was part of the project and site leadership we placed for several contractors, along with a construction manager, an electrical project manager and a program scheduler.
