The Parramatta Light Rail aims to improve public transport and ease traffic for Parramatta’s growing population, with 130,000 expected near the route by 2026. This 12km network will feature 16 accessible stations, offering frequent services to key locations and better travel links to Sydney, intending to lower road congestion and environmental impact. The project also includes accessible pathways for various mobility aids.

TradeConnex is working with Transport for NSW to deliver the Parramatta Light Rail, having sourced over 100 skilled talent in roles like machine operation and electrical work. Successfully converting the existing rail line requires this diverse expertise, and despite COVID-19 challenges, TradeConnex’s recruitment efforts are helping keep the project on schedule for its 2023 completion, supporting sustainable travel, benefiting the environment, and boosting local commerce.
